Frequently Asked Questions

Does a wrong answer always end the game?

Yes, picking the wrong event ends your run instantly, regardless of difficulty or how many lives you have left. Lives only matter when the timer hits zero before you pick.

What's the difference between difficulty modes?

Difficulty controls timeout lives only: Easy gives 5, Medium gives 3, Hard gives 1. A wrong answer ends the game in every mode with no exceptions.

How is my score calculated?

You earn one point per correct answer. The game ends when you're wrong, so the score equals your streak length. Your personal best is saved on your browser locally and shown before each game.

Where do the events and inventions come from?

Questions cover real historical inventions, discoveries, and milestones from ancient times through the modern era, a wide mix so every game feels different. The images shown are from Wikimedia commons.

Can I change the timer mid-game?

No, timer and difficulty are locked in when you hit Start. Head back to the home screen to adjust them before your next game.

Is my best score saved permanently?

It's stored in your browser's local storage, so it persists across sessions on the same device and browser. Clearing your browser data will reset it.
